Got off to a rough start as we had to wait for an hour and a half to get our car after we checked in. The attendant said that the car was being cleaned and should be ready in 15 minutes. She would call our name when it was ready. We, along with others, waited and waited. The attendant would disappear unless new customers were at the counter and another person would come out every so often and call a name. Our name was never called. Finally, after over an hour, I caught the attendant before she disappeared and told her we had been waiting a long time. She asked me my name and I gave it to her. She then looked and said, "Oh, you already picked up your car!" I said obviously, we hadn't. She said so and so called your name. I didn't argue. She couldn't figure out who had gotten "our" car, which she said was a Kia Soul, a lower model than what we reserved. Finally, she gave up and said "I will just have to give you the Buick Envoy," which turned out to be a little bit better for us than the sedan we had reserved. This was good since we were going to keep it for 16 days (and ended up driving 3500 miles). When we turned the car in, the amount billed was less than I expected. The receipt showed that they didn't start charging us until 3 days after we picked it up. I don't know why they did this (no explanation), but it made the initial hassle worth it in the end.

Wanted a Ford Edge, got a Toyota 4Runner that got 15-20mpg relatively a gas hog, only redemption was it has shift on the go was nice through Sequoia NP, and radar cruise control, was nice where traffic is light on esp 2 lane US hwy's.

7.9 GoodAug 3 2021

When we showed up at midnight to pick up our vehicle, we were informed that it was not ready because it had to be cleaned. There was only one staff member and she was working as hard as she could to clean all the cars (as there were other people waiting before us). We waited almost an hour. This was especially disappointing because obviously Alamo knew when we were landing and when our reservation began, so a car should have been ready.

The shuttle was fast and efficient. We felt a bit like we had to deal a lot of upselling that made the pickup process longer than need be. However, we were grateful to receive the cars we reserved given the limited supplies across the U.S., and especially grateful to even get an upgrde on one of the vehicles.

1.9 HorribleJul 12 2021

Terrible experience. My flight was canceled and after calling enterprise with notification that I will be late about 3 hours I was told that the branch where I was supposed to pick up the car closes 30 minutes before my arrival and I will have to wait till next morning. Unacceptable. I canceled my reservation.

4.0 OkayMar 18 2021

we were able to pick up the car quicklyThe car itself was not good. When we asked if the car had 4 wheel drive we were told we would be fine without it without ever inquiring into where we were going-we could’ve used four wheel drive. While driving just along the highways themselves the car had difficulty maintaining speed and struggled at the slightest incline. The Bluetooth connection in the car was spotty at best; not to mention if you need to plug your phone in it wouldn’t play navigation from that phone anymore. If any of us had been traveling alone with this vehicle it would’ve been almost dangerous trying to read navigation from our phones the whole time. Having a good system for navigation on a rental car should absolutely be standard.

We did a one way rental and everything went as planned. Staff at both enterprise locations were efficient and very professional. We arrived early into Whitefish and had hoped to pick up our vehicle early but there was insufficient inventory. Not the company’s fault but some flexibility would have been ideal.

The gentleman at the rental counter was so friendly and efficient, not to mention funny and engaging. He not only got us on our way quickly, but offered suggestions for restaurants in the areas we were going, which were great because at this time of year a lot of places were closing for the season. He gave us a 2021 Camry with low miles, and it was immaculately clean and gas efficient. Overall, a great experience.

Although the interior of the car was not as clean as I would have liked, I realize it's not business as usual at this time. The price for the SUV was excellent, but that was due to reserving the vehicle 11 months in advance. The ridiculously low price was honored when I arrived and pick-up and drop-off took no time at all. Again, this was in Kalispell, MT in a very small airport. After hearing horror stories of vehicle shortages at agencies, my biggest fear was there being no vehicle at all when I arrived. I phoned Thrifty at the airport 2 weeks before my trip and was assured there were plenty of SUVs.

7.9 GoodJul 18 2021

Thrilled to get a vehicle at all, but the expense for 2 days was extraordinary. A lot of confusion about whether the vehicle was at or off-airport. The reservation email sent us to town some 10 miles away for pick up which was at the airport. Some confusion about returning the vehicle and depositing the key inside at the vacant kiosk. The vehicle was clean and worked well, and almost an essential component for a visit to Kalispell and environs.

The staff was very friendly. The tires were inflated to odd levels of pressure from 28 to 40 pounds per square inch. We had to go to a station and have them inflated and deflated. It took an hour out of our trip to find a station with an air pump.

6.0 GoodMay 27 2021

at drop off, I explained that the gas tank was FULL. After reviewing the bill before boarding my flight, I discovered that I was charged for the cost of $97 for fuel. I had to go back to the agent (behind the security) and she corrected it. I find this annoying as it is a basic component of checking out a rental car. Other attendants go over the statement LINE by LINE. Not at this station. Peculiar, With kind regards, Roger van den BerghPlease pay attention at checkout.

10.0 ExcellentMay 18 2021

Very friendly staff, no line and easy rental process.I wasn't sure how to return the vehicle - had to take keys to the desk unlike other rental experiences where someone is there waiting to check you in or you leave the keys in the car. Signage would have helped as we were in a rush.

410 travelers who rented a car in Kalispell Glacier Park Airport gave the car agency they used an average rating of 8.8

  • More than ten car rental companies serve travelers at Kalispell Glacier Park International Airport (FCA). The best way to rent is to book ahead of time through KAYAK. Getting around Montana from FCA by car outshines all other forms of transportation. The chances of hopping on a bus are very slim, not to mention that the system has designated stops scheduled at an interval of 1h 30min. Also, buses are only available from 9 am to 5 pm, and do not operate on Saturdays and Sundays. For this reason, most visitors flying into the capital of Flathead County prefer getting a car rental at Kalispell Glacier Park Airport because the service is guaranteed no matter the time or day of the week.
  • When you book a vehicle from one of the Kalispell Glacier Park Airport car rental agencies, a few tips can help you save time finding your way in and out of the airport. First, make use of the signage directing you to the counters and pick-up points. Alternatively, ask the car rental associates where the cars are parked as they are always happy to help. There isn’t much vehicle flow from the airport to the small town in the morning. But you can avoid traffic caused by public buses at 9 am if you pick up your rental car earlier. Return the car before 4 pm to evade the evening traffic jam.
  • The return areas for car rentals at Kalispell Glacier Park Airport are located a few yards from the terminal. Some of the returns are located at 4170 Us Hwy 2 East within the airport. Normally, you should return the car at the same parking lot that you picked it up from. Only one-way rentals are returned to another location other than the airport branch. Such trips often carry an additional fee. It is very important to indicate at the time of booking whether you’ll use a different drop-off location.
  • Avoid late-return fees by dropping off the vehicle within the time indicated in the rental contract. Note that each supplier has a unique opening and closing time of their offices. For instance, National’s operating hours are from 8 am to 11.30 pm. However, they provide after-hour returns. If you return the vehicle past 11.30 pm, there’s no need wait to for a customer agent so you can hand over the key and any paperwork. A drop box is conveniently located at the return area for you to place these items and leave.
  • 25% of our users found rental cars at Kalispell Glacier Park Airport for $126 or less
  • Book your rental car at Kalispell Glacier Park Airport at least 2 weeks before your trip in order to get a below-average price
  • Please confirm the minimum age limit for the particular company you have chosen as your car rental provider. Most rental suppliers rent to drivers who have attained 21 years of age. A young driver's charge often applies to the 21-24 age bracket.

  • If you are traveling with a loved one who is above 21 years, you can include them in the contract agreement as an additional driver. Have them accompany you during pick-up and ask the agency whether you have to pay an extra fee for this option.

  • Most car rental companies operating at FCA allow clients to drive to Canada. However, this is only possible with certain vehicle classes like large passenger vans and exotic models. Please inquire about this from the company if you are planning to cross the border. Also beware of cross-border restrictions, including insurance. You might be required to obtain a non-resident insurance policy that works in Canada.

  • On average a rental car at Kalispell Glacier Park Airport costs $173 per day.

  • In the past 72 hours, the cheapest rental cars were found at Avis ($93/day), Dollar ($121/day) and Budget ($124/day).

  • Car rental companies that offer shuttle or pick-up services from Kalispell Glacier Park Airport to off-airport locations include Budget, Avis, Payless, Dollar, Hertz, Alamo, Enterprise, Thrifty, and National.
